The area of scientific interests of E.E. Orlova is the problems of legal regulation of employment. She is the author of four monographs and more than 90 research articles.
From 2011 to 2013 she was a member of the Expert Council for Monitoring Law Enforcement under the Administration of the Tambov Region. Since 2012, Orlova E.E. has been a member of the Expert Council on the conduct of the qualification exam for the assignment of class ranks of the state civil service of the Russian Federation to individual civil servants of the Federal Property Management Agency in the Tambov Region. From 2015 to the present, Orlova E.E. was a member of the Qualification Collegium of Judges of the Tambov Region. From 2012 to 2015 Orlova E.E. was a member of the commission on compliance with the requirements for official conduct of federal state civil servants of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Tambov Region and the settlement of conflicts of interest. In 2014 – 2015,she was an expert in the field of state accreditation of educational activities.
Elena Evgenievna was awarded state and departmental (industry) awards, among which: Honorary diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for merits in the field of education and many years of conscientious work (2017); Certificate of Honor from the Administration of the Tambov Region for achievements in professional activities (2011); Certificate of honor of the Tambov City Council for many years of fruitful work in the field of higher education, training of qualified specialists (2015); Certificate of honor of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Tambov Region for fruitful activities in the field of education and science, as well as for active participation in the work of the certification commission of the Investigative Department (2015); Medal of the Non-Governmental Environmental Fund named after V.I. Vernadsky "150th Birth Anniversary of V.I. Vernadsky "(2017) and others.
